Production Log
Where: Art department.
Who: Me, Maddie H, Kelly and Niamh.
Equipment: DSLR, light box, whitescreen, lipstick and a lighter.
Purpose: Test shots, creating props/burning lipsticks.
Duration: 1 and a half hours.
For this shoot, we were creating some props that we were possibly going to use in our sequence, with us burning lipstick to create the illusion of blood - similar to American Psycho, but we decided on lipstick as our character is highly sexualised, while signifying the victim's death. As the media room was unavailable we set up in the art studio - it took a while to actually set up as we kept having to move/find items to hold others up.
The overall filming, framing and cinematography of this scene went well. However, the whole scene as was a gerneral health risk. As we were burning a lipstick, we were at risk of many things. Burning plastic is toxic and could have harmed our health, or being burned by the lighter, cables could have tripped us -which is dangerous especially when around fire.
