We
first attempted to film the death scene in Maddie H’s house, where we had set
it up to resemble a bar in her conservatory. However, looking back on the
footage we decided that the setup wasn't the best, and it would have to be
revised due to it looking more like a cafe than a classy bar; this is because
the table we used was too low.
We shot
all the scenes we had planned, and used Kaan from another media group to
play the male victim. In the setting, there are lots of windows, so the
lighting was bright, it was quite high key although it did not create the heavy
shadows that we were originally after. However, this lighting works well, it keeps the sophisticated air and links with the white screen scenes better.
We quickly made a identity/business card for our victim, this is because the name of those who feature in the sequence will be involved in the performance. The card will be made for the next re-shoot.
But, after showing our teacher the shots she suggested that we re-shoot and change the scenery so it looked more like a bar, saying that the walls could be black instead of white. We will book out a room in the drama department for the re-shoot
