Locations

White-screen (at school)
Using the white-screen at school creates the simple background we had envisioned for the majority of the scenes. The contrast between the character/blood/objects against the white background makes the horror more dependent on the performance and not the stereotypical fear/suspense that comes from the dark. The technique is the same as the American Psycho title sequence, which contains many twists and is deceiving at points, such as the raspberry sauce resembling blood.

Bexleyheath shopping centre
Within the shopping centre, there is a marbleized wall with lifts in the building. This is a change to our original plan of a bar/club, since it will be easier to get permission to film there, as we are all under 18 and the shopping centre will not be as busy. The marble also adds a sense of elegance to the scenery, keeping up with the theme of our killer being/living a sophisticated life. Although it is a shopping centre we are using it as an apartment block, that the killer and detective pass each other on her way to meet her victim.

Danson Park
At the start of our title sequence, we quickly reflect killer's upbringing of being into gardening and flower arranging, that she was forced to do. The garden is known to be beautiful and well kept, which is why we chose this location. However, the weather may effect the location.
